Ward Clerk/Telemetry Tech/Patient Care Tech

As a patient care tech I work closely with the nurses and medical staff to provide basic care for patients on a medical surgical floor. Some of these duties includes basic vital signs, monitoring intake & output, bathing, feeding and dressing patients. I also assist patients when getting out of bed and walking when needed. As a ward clerk/tele tech, I am in charge of keeping the floor running smoothly. With new admissions, I am in charge of putting charts together, putting all orders into the computer, and patient dismissals as well. Keeping all filing put away. I answer call lights to assist with patient's needs, and communicate important information between nurses/doctors. We are also responsible for monitoring the tele monitors and reporting changes in heart rhythm to the medical staff.
