Build Your Portfolio / Building Your Portfolio

Your VisualCV portfolio is like a "gallery" of multimedia items that you can add to your VisualCVs to bring your experience, skills, and achievements to life. There are a few different ways to add items to your portfolio. Perhaps the easiest it to add them as you are editing your VisualCV. Follow these steps to add items to your portfolio.

1. Select the VisualCV you want to update from the list of VisualCVs at top of your dashboard.
   
   
   The VisualCV you want to update is selected



2. Edit your VisualCV by clicking the Edit link.
   
   
   The VisualCV editor is displayed



3. Add a Portfolio section to the main column or sidebar of your VisualCV
   
   
   A new Portfolio section is added to your VisualCV.



4. Click the Add a Portfolio Item button.
   
   
   The new section is opened for you to edit.



5. Click the placeholder (Choose Portfolio Item) :
   
   
   A window with your Portfolio items appears.



6. Click the Upload tab:
   
   
   

Which type of file would you like to upload?

• Image, document, audio clip, or video clip
• Yahoo! Video
• YouTube Video
• SlideShare Presentation or Document

  1. Click the Upload tab, browse and select the image, document, audio clip, or video file you would like to upload, and press Upload:
     
     
     The item is added to your Portfolio and can now be used on any of your VisualCVs. You are returned to the Portfolio tab.

  2. Click Add a Yahoo! video to your VisualCV
  3. Enter the URL and Title for your video
  4. Click Upload
  
  
  
  The video is added to your Portfolio and can now be used on any of your VisualCVs. You are returned to the Portfolio tab.

  3. Enter the Embed Code and Title for your video

  The SlideShare presentation or document is added to your Portfolio and can now be used on any of your VisualCVs. You are returned to the Portfolio tab.
