Getting Hired / View Employers

The employers you will see on VisualCV are specifically looking (and have a preference) for great candidates who have VisualCVs. It's easy to find a particular employer and see what job openings they may currently have.

To find an employer and view current job openings:

1. Click the triangle next to Get Hired on any VisualCV page, and then click Direct Employers.
   
   The All Employers on VisualCV page lists all employers who have a profile on VisualCV.
   
   
2. Narrow your search for a particular employer by typing the name of the employer in the Find Employers box and, if desired, a location.
   
   TIP: If you're not sure of the company's full name, you can type part of the name. For example, "Home" might find companies named The Home Store, Home and Garden, and The Homer Group. For locations within the United States and Canada, use a city name AND the two-letter state or province abbreviation (for example, VA instead of Virginia).
   
   
3. If you want to limit your search by industry, select the industry from the Limit to Industry list.
4. Click Search.
5. If you see a We're Hiring! link next to the employer's entry, this means that the employer has specific job openings. View the openings:
   
   
1. Click the We're Hiring! link.
2. Click View Job next to a job for details about that opening.
3. If you feel you are a good fit for the job, click the Apply Now! button on the job listing, type a message or cover letter to the company representative, select the VisualCV you would like to share for the opening, and then click Apply for this Job.
6. If you do not see a We're Hiring! link next to the employer's entry, this means that the employer has no job openings posted on VisualCV. However, this employer prefers to receive VisualCVs from interested candidates for current and future consideration. View the employer's VisualCV and share your VisualCV with this employer:
   
   
   1. Click the Learn More link next to the employer's entry to view the employer's VisualCV.
   2. Click the Share Your VisualCV with Us button on the employer's VisualCV, compose a message to the employer, select the VisualCV you want to share with that employer, and click Send.

TIPS:

• Before you share a VisualCV with an employer, be sure its privacy setting is set to either "Anyone" or "People I share with." Tell me how
• Maybe a particular job opening isn't for you, but if you think a friend or colleague might be interested you can share the listing either by notifying a contact in your social network or by forwarding the listing via email.
• The All Employers page also summarizes job openings within your selected industries. (The number in parentheses next to an industry name is the number of job opportunities in that industry, not the number of companies.) Tell me more about selecting industries
