FAQ / Other Members

These are some of the questions we've been asked about other members, including professionals and companies:

How can I network with other VisualCV.com members?

Our Professionals page is where you can meet and network with other VisualCV.com individual (professional) members. Along the left side of this page you'll see four categories:

  • Professionals Directory: This category displays all VisualCV.com professional members whose public VisualCV is presently online. (Members who have taken their public VisualCV offline will not appear on this page until they put their VisualCV back online.)
  • Example VisualCVs: If you haven't yet created your first VisualCV and you are looking for some inspiration, look here. This page highlights some well-designed VisualCVs created by other members.
  • My Shares: This category lists the people with whom you have shared your VisualCVs and those who have shared theirs with you.
  • My Folders: Although you can quickly locate a member in the Professionals Directory using the search feature, it is helpful to keep track of members by organizing them into folders (for example, friends, customers, co-workers, fellow alumni, or any other category you can think of). You can create as many folders as you'd like and add members to them as those members share their VisualCVs with you. Tell me more about organizing my professional network

I'd rather not be seen on the Professionals page. Can you take me off this page?

To remove yourself from the Professionals page, take your public VisualCV offline. Tell me more about privacy settings

Where do the companies on your Companies page come from?

Many of the companies you'll see on the Companies page are VisualCV.com members; other companies are ones we've selected. You can view information about a company by hovering your mouse over the company name. If the company is not yet a VisualCV.com member, you'll see basic information that Standard & Poor's Capital IQ publishes, such as revenue, industry, and description; if the company is a member, you'll see additional information the company provided us when they joined.
