After a long haitus between high school and college, and with the events of 911 dramatically impacting my life, I made the decision, applied and was accepted at The New School in 2002. In spite of receiving a now infamous "D" in Italian I managed to graduate with honors. As it happened I was forced to admit that there are some areas in which I display no skills at all. On the other hand it was also that same experience that caused me to realize, that if I do not posess a particular skill, it is necessary for me to find someone to work with, who does. I know now that I much I prefer to work in team environments that allow each member to do what they do best.
When I finished my BS degree I was offered an opportunity to continue on with my Masters without a break. Having the previous experience of a very long delay in continuing my education I chose what to me was the obvious path. I received my master's in May of 2010

Between June and December of last year I lost 25 pounds and wrote about my methods and experience. Now that work is available just about everywhere...

This is one of my more resent experimantal works. It was designed as an interactive gallery installation and this version is a reasonably decent simulation of that experience.
Clare is a kindly bag-lady. Though short on funds she spends a quarter on an old purse. The purse turns out to always contain a dollar bill.

A couple of years ago I had an idea: creating an online environment were people could gather together to collectively write stories. Just after the beginning of this year I found a software developer who has produced a Twitter-like tool enabling me to turn my idea into reality. At WriteZoo.com several collaborators worked together on two chapters of, "Gerald Meriwether's Improbable Possibilities." On March 9, 2009 I opened the site to writers and one year later in March of 2010 I closed the forum. I do continue to hold the site name and perhaps one day will revise my decision to close it up...
The experiment was, after all, very interesting.
