Seasoned professional with 30+ years of software development experience ranging from embedded (RTOS) to cloud based (SAAS) applications.
Providing custom scripting solutions and Ecommerce website development support for NetSuite customers. Also serving as Technical Advisor/Webmaster for the Rocky Mountain NetSuite User Group.
Developed a Linux based, virtual tape automation appliance which leveraged earlier tape automation products. As part of this effort, built a custom i86 based Linux distribution to specifically fit this application. During the hardware evaluation phase, worked with a number of Linux based ARM SBC's (Marvell 88F6281, TS-7800, Plug Computer) and their associated build/development environments.
As team leader, orchestrated the development of three generations of VXA tape technology and four generations of Magnum tape automation. Created all command handling and control for both technologies as well as data path management for VXA. Worked directly with VXA ASIC design team to develop a robust firmware/hardware interface that assisted with code portability between product generations. Also developed a windows based tool
in C++ using Microsoft Foundation Class to support both development and manufacturing.
As one of a team of four core software engineers, architected and developed the Pereos backup/restore application. Main responsibility being the development of the device control portion of the application.
Lead diagnostic architect for the TimberWolf Automated Cartridge System (ACS). One of four diagnostic developers for the original 4400 ACS.
