Professional Opera Singer

I met Valerie at an opera audition in London and was so impressed with her playing that I asked her for private coaching. We ended up working and performing together in numerous recitals, concerts and auditions during a ten year period.
Valerie is the most knowledgeable and sensitive coach I ever worked with. She has all the skills one could wish for in a coach as well as a great range of musical knowledge and depth of experience. She has a rare sensitivity both as a performer and coach and she has guided , supported and helped me to mature as a singer.

A large and appreciative audience at London's Barbican Hall warmed to what was only the second performance of this atmospheric work - at this American Independence Day lunchtime concert.

The chamber choir, trained by American born Valerie Kampmeier, rose wonderfully to the occasion and gave a very professional and focussed reading, balancing well with the brass ensemble conducted by Spencer Down and vocal soloists Elena Anastopoulos, Naomi Burrell and Clare Robson, who were "...able to convey the emotionally charged nature of the piece with great conviction."

Letters

15th March 2002

Dear Director,

My wife and I have just arrived home after attending a really marvellous lunchtime concert given by your Junior Guildhall Chamber Choir. I felt I had to tell Valerie Kampmeier how joyful and exhilarating it was and we still felt a glow on our journey home.

We attend the Regent Hall Concert every Friday and always enjoy them very much but this was something special. Please pass our sincere thanks to all taking part ... the warmth, enjoyment and enthusiasm shown today will stay with us for a long time.

Again congratulations and many thanks.

Sincerely,

Ken. Woolcott
