The goal of this project was to improve the machinists productivity and reduce the time that the CNC Programmer spends assisting machinists. To meet this need, I developed this just-in-time training video that demonstrated a key task required to properly operate a CNC machine.
I scripted, filmed and edited this video.

This is one of the DMADV Six Sigma projects that I led. It defined a file management process for the GE Learning Solutions team. The process outlined the file structure and naming conventions for all files (Flash, Word, Video and Graphics). Also, training was developed and implemented for the end users.
Project Goals:
Note: Before Six Sigma project, estimated time to locate a file was from .5 - 3.0 hours at an estimated cost of $40 - $240. Estimated time of re-work could be up to 3 days and up to $2,000.
This large-scale project was made up of 5 Six Sigma teams (Specify, Author, Assemble, Review, Administration). Each team focused on a segment of the current development process.
"Specify" Goals:
Note: After project, 18 documents collapsed into 9 - would have been less if not for file formats.
I've included one of the templates that was streamlined.
DMAIC project recognized as being pivotal in increasing output 38% and slashing costs 54%.
