The most fun has been growing the company from six employees to over fourty in under three years, and planning our network and servers to handle 300+ GB of scanned data per day.  To that end we developed our own in-house inventory, workflow and image processing system.  My team of software developers and database architects have generated over 70,000 lines of source code, primarily in PHP.  We use high-availability design with multiple redundant servers and database replication to ensure that our data is always available.

Companies in town were begging me to strike out on my own as a systems consultant, so I did and I learned a lot.  I provided technical support for two television stations, Roy Nichols' office, United Circuits and several physicians and dental offices in town. I soon realized that being a triage consultant kind of eliminated the possibility of vacations and decided to jump on board with the HCR Imaging opportunity.

Originally I worked with document imaging systems (which was great training for what I now do) but I ended up taking over the outsourced technical support team.
