The most fun has been growing the company from six employees to over fourty in under three years, and planning our network and servers to handle 600+ GB of scanned data per day.  To that end we developed our own in-house inventory, workflow and image processing system.  My team of software developers and database architects have generated over 150,000 lines of source code, primarily in PHP.  We use high-availability design with multiple redundant servers and database replication to ensure that our data is always available.  Our entire enterprise is nearly converted to Linux on both server and desktop.

Companies in town were begging me to strike out on my own as a systems consultant, so I did and I learned a lot.  I provided technical support for two television stations, Roy Nichols' office, United Circuits and several physicians and dental offices in town. I soon realized that being a triage consultant kind of eliminated the possibility of vacations and decided to jump on board with the HCR Imaging opportunity.

Originally I worked with document imaging systems (which was great training for what I now do) but I ended up taking over the outsourced technical support team.
