I am the founder of Virtual Interactive Systems, a Video & New Media Production Company based in the Greater Tampa Bay Area of Florida. I am an Engineer by training and since the age of 17, have always been working in some capacity in the technical arena. 8 years in the U.S. Submarine Service as a Computer Systems Technician and 6 years as an Intelligence Officer in the US Naval Reserves. My active Duty period was followed by several years working for various fortune companies: I have worked in the following roles over the course of the last 20 years. Field Service Engineer, Robotics Electrician, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, General Manager, VP of Engineering, Head of US Operations, Sr. Director Special Projects, VP of Information Technology. From early 2005 to late 2006 I also worked with the U.S Government on assignments in the Middle East.
As an avid technology junkie I have been involved in Video and Creative Media Productions since 2000. Additionally, I have been involved with numerous firms in developing Web Strategies and over-all Internet Presence Management.
- In 2003 I created the first interactive resume that was initially delivered on an interactive business card, long before the creation of YouTube. That technology is utilized today all over the internet.
- In 2006, I added blogging and Social Media Networks to my repertoire. I have felt for several years now that the calling would not be long for Video to be included in the mix.
My first Blog was created to assist my wife and her partner with their foray into Web 2.0 and internet marketing for Real Estate Agents. This seemed to be natural progression since I was already creating all of their Virtual Tours..
