A dedicated and caring education professional, Mrs. Terrie Spieker served as a public school teacher for seven years. Most recently, Terrie Spieker employed her talents as a teacher in the Littleton Public School system in Littleton, Colorado. Terrie Spieker believes that the most effective education comes from a well-structured and productive learning environment. To this end, Terrie Spieker makes sure to define her classroom expectations and procedures prior to commencing instruction. Once this solid foundation is in place, Terrie Spieker works to ensure each student achieves his or her full potential by continuing to provide a safe, comfortable, and communal environment. Terrie Spieker believes that all children learn differently, so she utilizes a number of different techniques to help her students find academic success. For instance, while Terrie Spieker primarily attempts to appeal to a child’s intrinsic motivations, she will also use external motivators when appropriate. Additionally, Terrie Spieker endeavors to make all of her lectures unique and accessible, ensuring maximum comprehension and retention. Mrs. Spieker also enjoys working with students' parents to implement effective teaching methods both in the classroom and at home. Prior to becoming a teacher, Terrie Spieker served as a Sales Representative for Qwest Communications. In this position for almost 15 years, Terrie Spieker worked throughout Colorado selling Qwest Communications’ technologies, providing customer support, and working with other Qwest employees. When she is not drawing up teaching plans, Terrie Spieker enjoys playing golf, volleyball, and softball. Terrie Spieker also enjoys skiing. A dedicated member of her community, Terrie Spieker volunteers with numerous organizations, including the Light of the World Catholic Church. Terrie Spieker received her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Terrie Spieker is currently working toward her Master’s degree in Education and Human Development from the University of Colorado Denver.
