I am currently a faculty with responsibilities for teaching advanced IT courses to MBA students specializing in the IT management stream and managing corporate consulting projects. The courses that I teach are:

1. Enterprise business applications -- Development, deployment and maximizing value.
2. IT project management -- Strategic view of projects, project issues and change management
3. Online marketing -- Use of online marketing approaches, digital media and social media
4. Emerging platforms and services -- Assessment of emerging tech trends like social media, cloud computing and mobility and it's implications on business.

I also manage about 30 corporate consulting projects on the technology and business areas. 

Provide strategic consulting advice to IT firms and other technology firms.

• Did an elaborate study on the new media landscape and made specific recommendations to a Government agency to harness the power of the social media.
• Developed the strategic marketing approach and marketing metrics to add robustness to marketing and promotion activities for a Statutory board dealing with new media.
• Conducted a strategic marketing assessment of the global gaming sector and the possible opportunities for Singapore. The recommendations have been accepted and will be put up to the Board shortly.
• Did a series of workshops on integrating Government IT with social media for a large Government agency
• Segmented and mapped out the Influence zone for specific communication activities for a large global IT vendor.

• Responsible for thought leadership, business development and new consulting offers to the high technology industry segments.
• Developed the Program management approach and structured the PMO function for a large IT outsourcing firm.
• Put together a complex outsourcing bid ($12 M) for a large outsourcing RFP and served as a single point of contact during the due diligence phase.
• Market sizing, strategy development and go to market recommendations for a mobile CRM software vendor.
• Wrote technology analyst reports, performed competitive profiling and analyzed  Web 2.0 deployment trends in Asia for a US based technology analyst firm.

Responsible for thought leadership, sales, research, consulting covering the Enterprise IT sectors for APAC.  Key reports and consulting assignments delivered include:

• Contact centre and Shared services outsourcing trends and growth opportunities in Asia Pac
• Enterprise software trends and growth prospects for 2006-2010
• Assessment of the top 25 IT services firms– strategies and impact
• Assessed the impact of Web 2.0 technologies and practices on the Enterprise
• Assessment of the Enterprise Content Management growth trends, drivers and future scenarios in APAC
• Formulated and implemented the advanced research practice to decide the prestigious Frost and Sullivan technology awards.
  
• Developed business strategy and  go to market approaches for a major Telco, leading Government agencies and  major software and services firms.
• Made 7 global industry briefings, authored over 30 market insight documents sent to clients and  25 major presentations at various industry forums in Asia.

• Developed a new consulting practice called  strategy@work which incorporates the key principles of the Balanced Score Card, and Project Portfolio Framework to manage effective strategy implementation for 5 major clients.
• Project Director (pre-sales) on contract basis for Cisco, for one of the world’s largest metro Ethernet project.
• Program Manager and lead consultant to develop a Master plan for IT consolidation and change management for Telekom Indonesia (4 million mobile subscribers)
• Assessment of key competencies of senior management personnel for growth for a MayBank(largest bank in Malaysia with assets of US$ 56B)
• Designed and deployed the Enterprise Performance Management using the Balanced Scorecard approach and linking to CRM deployment for Telecom Malaysia (largest Telco in Malaysia), and The Fullerton group (hotel chain in Asia).
• Developed a service offer for optimizing and improving marketing communications using CRM model and developing a Relationship prism for a Direct marketing firm
• Built a complete end-to-end service offer to manage M&A integration services in the high-tech industry for a leading software firm to acquire a BPO firm
• Developed and deployed the strategy blueprint, operations model and IT support to increase lending to the SME sector for Bank Central Asia (largest Indonesian bank with $13B in revenues) using DW/BI
• Advised on the use of Data Warehousing and Business intelligence tools, applications and business impact for Bank Central Asia
• Assessment report of business strategies and innovation of Asia’s leading telcos for Deutsche Telecom
• Conducted training programs for sales people to sell high-end consulting and professional services for several software and IT service companies.
• Executive Coach providing coaching interventions, training, and workshops targeted at improving business and personal performance.

• Developed a complete Business Plan and Info-memorandum for prospective investors including detailed financial model, competitive positioning
• Won major contracts (>$250K) from Nokia and Telecom Malaysia for CRM / BPO outsourcing through a unique SMARTsourcing model.
  

• Recruited a full team of 30 people, developed the Icon consulting practice, go to marketing strategies, engagement models.
• Directly led 2 client engagements (U.S.$ 500K) through proposal, scoping and delivery
• Developed and implemented the E-marketplace offerings (U.S.$350K) for the global paper industry

• Responsible for the growth of the entire portfolio of service offers encompassing consulting services, technology services and customer services from marketing, demand creation, to the launch of the offer, sales and fulfillment / delivery across Asia Pacific (from Korea to India and China to New Zealand).
• Secured and managed 4 large Managed Services projects (US $4M) through its life cycle – from proposal stage  to delivery.
• Created short term and sustainable intervention mechanisms to control project risk and keep projects and service agreements to corporate norms.
• Responsible for driving growth plans for key accounts, leading special bid reviews, sales collateral, funnel management and developing improved capabilities
• Turned around a major country operation through a management revamp and instilling a new growth focus.
• Part of the global taskforce on Fast Track New Initiatives. Led a taskforce on identifying acquisitions and subsequently integrating operations.

• Created the corporate project management framework, project portfolio model and strategic goals.
• Developed the Balanced scorecard and initiated remedial measures to fix the gaps in processes, tools, and competencies.

• Developed and implemented the business plan for Internet based E-commerce exchange.
• Developed the business plan for deployment of extranet services specifically tailored for the high tech electronics-manufacturing sector.

• Developed strategic plans (scope, funding and benefits) for IT2000 initiatives in the Education and Digital library clusters. Assessed several business plans and collaboration efforts from industry to support the IT2000 thrusts.
• Member of the core team that conceptualized developed and rollout of the “Borderless Virtual Library” and the Students Teachers Workbench (STW) deployed in schools, one of the largest and earliest education project in Asia.
• Developed and deployed the first large-scale knowledge management system on the corporate intranet.
• Conceptualized strategy and projects for deployment of E-commerce using the Internet and Singapore ONE in the retail, banking and manufacturing sectors
• Developed the strategy and operational framework for IT Outsourcing for specific Government ministries, which has been subsequently institutionalized. This was implemented in various phases over a two year period
• Led several research projects like the IT industry surveys, sector studies, competitive profiling.

• Maximizing design wins for OEM products (BIOS) amongst PC manufacturers, custom design products and product development. Managed a team of 7 Marketing /Sales people and U.S. $ 12 million business
• Developed and implemented business plans to leverage superior PC design skills to non-PC products like POS, hybrid ATM etc
