Emerald City Designs, Farmington Hills, MI (2010 - present)

Designer

Oversee and manage all Stationery Department business: Design and produce custom invitations, programs, menu cards, table numbers, and guest list scrolls for weddings, corporate and private events. Graphic design, copy writing and digital photography for The Poppy Shoppe marketing campaigns; created and produced advertisements for HOUR, StyleLine, Bride, and Ambassador magazines. Design corporate documents, brochures, and various marketing collateral materials. Utilize contemporary design coupled with traditional and timeless visual aesthetic senses. One-one-one contact with clients, dedicated to efficiency, customer satisfaction, and "exceeding client expectations."

Art Teacher

Teach adult students the art of abstract painting. Students experiment with a variety of paint application techniques utilizing different tools to manipulate acrylic paint on canvas. Alternative mediums are encouraged. Contemporary and modern artists are introduced; color theory presented and works studied. Students are taught how to create an interesting composition using color, line, form and various textures. Design and implement art lesson plans, assignments and instruction materials for advanced learning. Take all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.

Workshop Instructor

Introduced children ages 3 - 16 to the arts of plaster imprinting and abstract painting. Preschool students created original hand prints in plaster and decorated with paints, glitter, beads, etc. Junior high and high school students created original abstract paintings on a large canvas.

National and international biographical research on artists including public relations for Tangent Gallery exhibitions; designed and produced promotional post cards for exhibiting artists.
