PROJECT: cubeFlex
May 2008 – present
Implement Oracle EPM software stack for upcoming product release of cubeFlex, a hosted infrastructure for Business Intelligence in the cloud. This is being implemented on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Elastic Computing (EC2).

PROJECT: metaController
Maintain and extend metaController, an event driven scheduling product

PROJECT: Market Risk Reporting System (MARRS)
MaRRS is the risk reporting system for the Investment Banking division. The primary goal for this project was to provide flexible ad-hoc and standardized reporting for Value at Risk (VaR). This sophisticated calculation and variations thereof uses position level P&L vectors for the past 252 days. This allows the firm manage risk by accurately predicting the maximum possible losses for the following trading day.

• Developed Data warehouse and OLAP cube design and architecture
• Implemented radical data feed driven, near real-time cube generation architecture
• Considered massive data volumes in the system design (6M position level records with year’s worth of P&L vectors daily)
• Developed sophisticated MDX to calculate VaR, iVaR and mVaR
• Tuned ASO and data warehouse to trim end to end build time from 2hrs to 5mins.
• Hyperion EPM 9.3.1 and Oracle 10g on Solaris

PROJECT: Data Services, Global OLAP Reporting Platform
Data Services is the centralized MIS and Information Delivery Group for the entire bank. The group’s data warehousing eporting platform supports the financial, HR and Regulatory analysis and reporting needs of the bank.

• Developed the Overall Strategy and Vision for the platform
• Architecture lead for reengineering legacy data warehouse
• Designed infrastructure architecture for the platform
• Migrated legacy environment to fully productionalized environment including Dev, Test, High Availability and DR capabilities
• Evaluated and recommended hardware, tools and third party systems to meet performance and manageability goals
• Designed and implemented innovation that separates the Essbase batch process from the user query  process on separate  servers, presented this solution jointly with Deutsche Bank, at global user conference
• Evaluated, Tested and Certified HyperRoll for production worthiness.
• Migrated select Essbase databases to HyperRoll
• Represented Deutsche Bank at every Hyperion Customer Advisory Board Meeting, since board inception
• Hyperion (Arbor) 5, 6x and Oracle 9i on AIX 4.3.x
