Mr. Przemyslaw Hewelt brings more than 15 years of experience in a wide range of international finance disciplines to his current dual position as Area Manager of Financial Institutions for Allied Irish Banks in Dublin, Ireland, and Head of Treasury Credit for Bank Zachodni WBK (BZWBK) in Poznan, Poland. In his position at Allied Irish Banks, Przemyslaw Hewelt directs a team of four highly trained global credit research analysts. In charge of developing credit research reports on 350 banks throughout Central and Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Latin America, and Africa, Przemyslaw Hewelt’s team provides the primary research information for the AIB Capital Markets Credit Committees. For his work with BZWBK, Mr. Przemyslaw Hewelt manages two separate teams: Corporate Credit and Risk Control. Through his leadership and strategic management, Przemyslaw Hewelt has more than tripled his staff, providing the bank with more resources to manage the ongoing global recession. Recognized for his considerable efforts, Przemyslaw Hewelt was named a full member of the BZWBK Credit Committee. Mr. Przemyslaw Hewelt possesses a Master’s degree in Economics from The Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland, and a Ph.D. in Banking from The Nottingham Trent University. Regarding his doctoral studies, Przemyslaw Hewelt analyzed the impact of deregulation on crisis situations for banks, employing a unique multi-country study. In the early part of his finance career, Przemyslaw Hewelt worked in the fields of regulatory affairs and credit rating analysis. Przemyslaw Hewelt is a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals. When he is not working, Przemyslaw Hewelt enjoys spending time with his children, going to the speedway, and writing for Warto, the Polish Lutheran quarterly magazine.
