• Responsible for leading and managing the research and development department developing an electronic catalog and content tool set. Groups include a core search engine, authoring, and content publishing.
• BugsEye® Catalog Technology selected by Oracle for embedding into Oracle internet Procurement and SAP for embedding in Business to Business Procurement and mySAP.com.
• Instituted software engineering processes and quality assurance programs.

Senior Member of Technical Staff

• Responsible for Krakatoa CGI client used for a variety of intranet and Internet publishing applications. Krakatoa has received numerous awards including Industry Week’s Technology of the Year Award.
• Extended this client to utilize advanced Netscape Navigator features for increased functionality. Worked with OpenMarket to build link from Krakatoa publishing to OMI Internet commerce. 
• Worked with key customer accounts to assist in implementation and deployment of Web-based publishing solutions.

Member of Technical Staff

• Worked on joint development project with National Semiconductor to automatically generate hypertext markup language (HTML) from a common gateway interface (CGI) C++ program using the CADIS object database. This product became Krakatoa HTML and shipped within five weeks after taking control of prototype.
• Assisted implementation of a Java-based client for a Web Publishing option to the main client-server product (CADIS-PMX). Ported the server portion of CADIS-PMX to a DEC Alpha (64 bit architecture) on schedule.
• Implemented and deployed initial CADIS web site (www.cadis.com). Webmaster for the CADIS Web Site, Krakatoa Web Site (www.krakatoa.com), and CADIS Intranet.

• Manager of team who developed a geoscientific software program. Responsible for developing product specifications with the product manager, domain experts, and customers. Version 1.0 was completed in six months and delivered on time.
• Designed and developed a two-dimensional geometry engine for the creation and editing of complex data. 
• Wrote over 50% of the on-line help documentation.
•  Developed and implemented a software engineering process for the CogniSeis Boulder Center’s development group.

• Technical lead for graphics subsystem of large-scale object-oriented framework for CAD applications. Principle designer and programmer (C++) for the graphics component of this framework with 3D lighting and shading, data management, device management, and a wide assortment of viewing methods.
• Met the first development deadline and completed systems integration in half the scheduled time.

• Managed all aspects of technical sales support including managing field engineers, developing and coding demonstration programs and benchmarks, training sales force, and developing and presenting technical material to customers.
• Responsibilities also included marketing support for new products. Developed ads and sales literature and conducted national sales meetings and training. Served as Marketing Product Manager for new product.

• Developed graphics software application for aircraft operations analysis. This interactive data driven system provided a new capability to perform three weeks of complex analysis in less than one day.  This software is in use today—21 years after initial development.
• Evaluated and acquired first computer animation system for Lockheed. Led team to develop first computer-generated animation for this Lockheed Division.
• Member of team that developed interactive computer graphics models as part of an Independent Research and Development Project (IRAD) on Human-Computer Interface with two dimensional displays of map and terrain data with 3D views.
