Summary

I am a passionate public health advocate with proven experience developing and implementing advocacy campaigns, utilizing social media to strengthen campaigns, and conducting trainings on tobacco control, obesity prevention/nutrition, and social media.

While I was in high school, several close friends and family members were diagnosed with cancer -- marking the beginning of my fight against cancer as well as my interest in public health and youth advocacy. I truly believe we can make a difference in our communities, and that belief empowers me every day to seek out new and creative ways to create change.

Specialties: My specialties include tobacco control, public health advocacy, grassroots organizing, youth advocacy, individual and group training, public speaking, strategic social media assessment and plans, internet advocacy, and new media.

“Megan was hands down one of the best interns that has ever worked for me during my 6.5 years on the Hill. She is highly motivated, sharp, an excellent researcher and analyst, very professional, and personable as well. ...  I am confident that she would be great asset to any organization that is smart enough to hire her.” - Sarah Lochner, Senior Legislative Assistant, US House of Representatives

“Megan was an absolute pleasure to work with. She has a unique skill set rarely found in a young professional. Her efficiency coupled with her knowledge of advocacy and online media is simply outstanding. Megan has an extraordinary work ethic, is remarkably competent and takes the initiative to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities. Projects that should take days take her an hour and in the time she saves she is innovating, creating, brainstorming. She was an invaluable member of our team!” - April Schweitzer, Associate Director, Youth Advocacy, The Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids
