I attended Dominican University in River Forest, IL, to obtain my Masters degree in Library and Information Science and graduated January 2010. I was the board secretary for the Special Libraries Association Competitive Intelligence Division from 2007-2010 and earned a dual certificate in Competitive Intelligence and the Intelligence Information Function from the Special Libraries Association in November 2007.
I received my B.A. from the University of Iowa in Anthropology with a Minor in Religion. I also spent a semester abroad studying Irish Literature at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, and participated in a writers’ workshop. Prior to my position at Spencer Stuart (2003-current), I worked at the University of Iowa Main Library, as well as other related administrative positions.
I possess a clear understanding of current trends and new technologies for delivering research assistance and instruction. I can fully demonstrate skills, knowledge, interest in, and dedication to Library 2.0. I enjoy investigating, designing, developing, adapting and integrating Web 2.0 applications to improve delivery of research materials, as well as enhancing communication between employees and information centers. I have worked with many different internal departments to incorporate and deliver user-centered library and knowledge management services.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, photography, cooking, movies, blogging, and sports.
