A dedicated surgeon and family man, Dr. Mark Kabins currently practices at Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, and Rehabilitation, LLP. Dr. Kabins learned his medical philosophy from his father, also a physician, who dedicates himself to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as providing complete, compassionate care to his patients. Dr. Mark Kabins works to emulate that model in his practice, getting to know each of his patients and exploring the full range of medical possibilities with them. He has become known for encouraging patients to ask questions and get in touch with him when they have concerns, and remains connected to his patients after surgery in order to ensure their complete healing and quality of care.Dr. Mark Kabins holds a BS and an MD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois at Chicago where he graduated summa cum laude and with honors, respectively. He belongs to the Phi Beta Kappa Society as well as Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and he has been recognized several times for his academic and medical excellence. Dr. Kabins completed his internship and a residency in orthopaedics at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. After finishing his residency, Dr. Mark Kabins pursued further specialized education as a Fellow at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. Dr. Mark Kabins holds licenses to practice medicine in California, Nevada, Iowa, Arizona, and Utah. He belongs to several professional groups, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American College of Spine Surgery. He regularly attends continuing educational courses and meetings of various medical societies, including recently the 25th Annual Meeting of the North American Spine Society and the ProDisc-L surgeon education program's course on advanced cervical solutions. Outside of his professional obligations, Dr. Mark Kabins enjoys spending time with his wife and children, participating in sports, and supporting his local synagogue.
