Responsible for the development and delivery of systems, services, and technology architecture that enables Zale's business strategy. This includes all "core" IT concerns (including infrastructure, architecture, standards-setting, application development & maintenance, integration, and data integrity) and "enterprisewide" concerns (including business processes and workflows, security and privacy, risk management, business continuity, compliance, and quality improvement). In addition, this involves oversight of Merchandise Planning support, ECommerce and Portal support, and oversight of Database Marketing. This involves overseeing 150 employees, 10-20 contractors, multiple major contracts, a $15 million capital budget, and/or operating expenses in excess of $25 million.

Responsible for expense and merchandise planning activities of a $2.4 billion specialty jewelry retailer. This included the annual budgeting process, merchandise planning process, and forecasting process for seven (7) brands, 2,300 stores, 14,000 employees, and all Corporate departments. This involved directly supervising ten (10) employees and having oversight over another forty (40) analysts.

Responsible for all activities at the Piercing Pagoda Distribution Center. This included the oversight of the receipt, shipment, return to vendor, and melt processing for 860 stores and over 12 million items a year. This included overseeing 145 employees, three (3) major contracts, and operating expenses of $4-5 million.

Responsible for all activities associated with systems development (development projects, primary user relationships, capital budgets, operating budgets, staffing, project plans), Corporate application systems support, Store Support Desk, store systems and equipment (polling, point-of-sale, store leasing and real estate databases, phone systems), and IT Project Management Office. This involved overseeing 50-70 employees, 10-40 contractors, five (5) major contracts, an annual $10 million capital budget, and/or operating expenses of $5-$10 million.

Responsible for all activities associated with financial operations (loan servicing, asset processing, asset operations, financial reporting, and asset systems) in the Dallas Financial Service Center. This involved overseeing 93 employees, 7 contracts, 1,400 contractors, 203 financial institutions, $14.4 billion in assets, and an operating budget of $70 million.
