Summary

Since 2005, Mr. Marcus Asay has utilized his extensive business experience to supplement his leading role as Principal of Planning and Development at IE/Cal Design & Development Center. Under Marcus Asay’s keen management, the firm has taken on a number of projects, such as Casa de Oro Residential Development and the City of Madera’s downtown redevelopment, from concept to completion. Most recently, Marcus Asay has taken the lead on the proposed development of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. Marcus Asay additionally lends his extensive business skills to Bakersfield’s ACS Association as the Managing Director. In this role, Marcus Asay oversees all aspects of finance, human resources, labor relations, and operations. Marcus Asay studied business and finance at Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. Marcus Asay graduated with his Master of Business Administration in 1982. Marcus Asay earned his undergraduate degree in Business and Public Administration from California State University, Sacramento. A charitable man, Marcus Asay maintains involvement with numerous charitable endeavors such as Farmworkers Enterprise Foundation and Acere Homes, Inc. Marcus Asay also volunteers as an Administrator for the Group Homes Certification Program. When he is not working, Marcus Asay enjoys studying economic development. Marcus Asay currently makes his home in Delano, California.
