I'm currently a PhD student in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. My research focuses on rhetoric of science, technology, and the environment, as well as various issues in teaching with technology and higher education administration. I am currently in my final year of coursework, developing my areas of concentration and reading lists to take my doctoral candidacy exams in Fall 2012. 

I have served several different roles while attending NCSU, including graduate instructor of record, research assistant to Carolyn R. Miller, Graduate Assistant Director of the First Year Writing Program, and Graduate Assistant Director of the Campus Writing and Speaking Program. 

Outside of my work life, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog at our family's place on Topsail Island, playing golf, and cooking delicious vegetarian meals.
