I love my work! In addition to working directly with my clients, I spend lots of time mentoring fledgling resume writers. As a Board member of a professional association, I help plan conferences and other programs, and I'll travel just about anywhere to give a speech or participate in a conference. (Yes, you can tempt me to address your group... buy me a plane ticket and let's talk!)
To balance all of those 60-hour work weeks I take lots of time off. My passion is travel, and I derive almost as much enjoyment from planning it as doing it. I actually enjoy the experience of traveling - I am unaccountably happy at airports, on trains, in subways, and walking down the streets of a new city.
I have two practically perfect children of whom I'm very proud. My daughter is a medical student, living in New York City (nice to have an excuse to travel there!), and my son is a junior at Ohio State studying visual communications design. He's artistic and musical (switched at birth?!) - you can check out his band at www.thepinstripes.net.
I somehow hit the lottery in the marriage department (28 years and counting) and enjoy golfing, skiing, biking, and boating with my husband. Our most memorable trips together have been biking tours in Europe... we're thinking about Costa Rica this year, if we don't make it to Australia.
I'm really interested in the entire world of work - what people do, how they do it, what makes them excel, and the dynamics of successful companies. I'm inspired by the VisualCV team and looking forward to what they'll do next!
