Laura Tuttle has over 25 years experience in healthcare as a registered nurse, educator, and executive. Laura was the founder and Executive Director of an educational company that provided a variety of training and continuing educational programs to the healthcare industry.
Ms. Tuttle has held progressive management roles from clinical manager to executive director in home health care and hospice industry. Her experience includes leading a hospice start-up for a national company, successfully bringing the agency through licensure and certification, with rapid expansion into a multi-site operation. She has project managed the selection and implementation of hospice electronic medical record and billing software. Laura created the marketing and business development department for the homecare and hospice division of a large regional medical center, greatly improving market share in an increasingly competitive region.
Laura consults for hospice and home health care agencies nationally providing assistance with start-up programs, projects including pro forma development for feasibility studies; conducting operational and baseline compliance assessments; medical record audits and summarizing documentation for Additional Development Requests (ADRs), appeals, and/or Progressive Corrective Action (PCA); workflow analysis and redesign; conducting market research and analysis; developing marketing plans; providing staff education; and lecturing nationally.
A site visitor for the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), she conducts accreditation and Medicare deemed status surveys for home health agencies and hospices nationally.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Skidmore College and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado. She is a Certified Legal Nurse ConsultantCM and an active member of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC®).
