Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics at the Florida State University and National High Magnetic Field Laboratory working on Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and computational methods for the structure determination of the Gramicidin A transmembrane channel. Advisor Timothy A. Cross.
While obtaining my B.S. in Chemistry I worked in the research lab of Dr. John Riehm, performing protein purification using gel columns and HPLC, and performing solid phase peptide synthesis.
My research direction is focused on computational structural biology while also applying my skills to broader platform review and direction. Working in areas of antibody design, epitope mapping, molecular assessment, stability engineering, construct design, protein engineering and serving on therapeutic area teams to lead target development.
My move to Amgen was due to Immunex being purchased by Amgen. My research direction is focused on computational structural biology while also applying my skills to broader platform review and direction. Working in areas of antibody epitope mapping, molecular assessment, stability engineering, construct design, protein engineering and serving on therapeutic area teams to lead target development.
Computational structural biology involving protein structure determination, analysis and design, protein target discovery, and protein engineering.
Postdoctoral research in Molecular Biology at The Scripps Research Institute working on High Resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and computational methods for the structure determination of calcium loaded calcyclin and small molecule binders to the minor groove of DNA.
Continued as a Postdoctoral Fellow under my Ph.D. advisor, Timothy A. Cross.
