Dr. Waddell's approach is unique. She's not just a trainer -she's a coach. She focused on helping me to leverage the right technology, to improve my productivity as a new entrepreneur. While I understood most of the basics, I knew that I wasn't highly efficient with my use of technology. In our initial discovery session, she took the time to listen to my concerns and then asked some tough questions that helped me realize what I really needed. Kecia was professional, patient, persistent, easy to work with, a great communicator and like a true coach - she made me do the work! I highly recommend Dr. Waddell for new entrepreneurs like myself - working with her to increase my efficiency was a good investment that has already produced significant returns.

Christina Chateauvert, Ph.D.,  Design Thinker Learning Lead, Ford Motor Company

I truly enjoyed watching Dr. Kecia Waddell present on The Professional ePortfolio during the Advanced Instructional Design class at Wayne State in Winter 2019 semester. As part of the Learning Design and Technology graduate program, students are required to create an ePortfolio. For some students, this is an easy task. For others, it can be overwhelming. Dr. Waddell did a great job at meeting students where they were by providing different ways to approach their portfolio development from various skill levels. We sought out Dr. Waddell to speak to the students because of her forward-thinking mindset in the world of technology. She is also very passionate about helping others with their digital literacy. She not only shared best practices with students but kept them engaged throughout the entire session. She does an exceptional job herself in modeling what she presents. She utilizes various portfolio applications and social media opportunities to build a solid network of valuable connections. This expertise was evident during her presentation. Dr. Waddell’s presentation reminded me that we can utilize technology effectively to showcase our work and tell the compelling story of who we are as designers. Thank you for taking the time to visit the program. It was great seeing you again!

Annette Christiansen, Teacher at Utica Community Schools

"Kecia is a valued member of not only our department but our district. She is our go-to person for all things technology and her innovation and ability to find and master teacher- and student-friendly technology has helped our students stay engaged and achieve. Kecia is student-centered and a consummate professional. Her willingness to go above and beyond for students and colleagues helps make her an indispensable asset. I believe her work in the classroom and with special services students, in particular, is one of the reasons Stevenson was successful in being removed from Focus-school status. Dr. Waddell is a knowledgeable and hard-working professional who gets results."

Rosie Chapman, School Social Worker, Motivational Speaker, Psychotherapist, Storyteller, Art Therapist, Performing Artist, Photographer

"Dr. Waddell is a dedicated, creative, committed educator who does what is best for students and staff by developing useful user friendly technology applications. I highly recommend anyone in the field of education to seek her expertise in the field of educational technology."

Cynthia Rogers, Leadership Sales Professional

"Dr. Waddell is a phenomenal creative Instructional Leader. I attended a session with her last week and have gained Useful, Fun, eLearning resources that can be used in the Classroom and for Business Marketing, as well. Her enthusiasm kept me engaged and I can hardly wait to put strategies learned into Action. Kecia, Thank You...You are the Best!"

Kelly Unger, PhD

"Kecia designed the instruction for a 6-hour professional development workshop for teachers on Google Applications for my consulting company, Kel Tech Industries. I gave her the basic information and she hit the ground running with the design of the instruction and the instructional materials. She completed all projects prior to the designated timelines, and designed an instructional workshop that I was able to deliver with ease."
