Joseph Famalette is a dynamic and deeply experienced business expert. Demonstrating significant skill in a number of functions and across a variety of industries, Joseph Famalette is best at identifying internal inefficiencies and enacting positive change that leads to sustained profitability and growth. Joseph Famalette most recently utilized these techniques as Account Director for Compete.com, a respected research start-up located in Boston. Beginning his role with the company in 2006, Joseph Famalette achieved in excess of $1M in sales in just two short years. Currently, Joseph Famalette employs his years of experience as a research consultant at La Quinta, California consulting company The Retreat, LLC. In addition to his current work as a consultant, Joseph Famalette previously served as the President and CEO of the company, which provides businesses with intelligent and strategically minded consulting based on internal assessment of corporate processes and a unique “Real-Time Strategy Check System.”
Prior to joining Compete.com, Joseph Famalette had already gained experience in the research business through his previous work with Mill Valley, California-based start-up MarketTools, Inc. As Vice President of Sales and New Business Development, Joseph Famalette brought in much of the company’s $85M in revenue and helped establish many important relationships with a variety of clients.
Before his successive stints with research start-ups, Joseph Famalette focused his career on real estate consulting. As a real estate consultant, Joseph Famalette worked with Golf Real Estate in La Quinta, California to develop a series of marketing initiatives to raise interest in country club real estate in Southern California.
Prior to consulting, Joseph Famalette utilized his significant business skills as a “turnaround” expert for two large agricultural co-ops: Tri Valley Growers in San Ramon, California and American Crystal Sugar Company in Fargo, North Dakota. Joseph Famalette leveraged his innate ability to identify more efficient management techniques as CEO and President of both of these companies, which resulted directly in higher profits and increased business partnerships, as well as a stronger position in the marketplace.
Joseph Famalette received his Bachelor of Arts degree from King’s College. He has also completed courses at Emory University in pursuit of his Juris Doctorate and has taken the General Manager Training Program at Northwestern University’s prestigious Kellogg School of Business.
