Joel Tracy is an independent marketing research contractor with specialized experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and consumer packaged goods industries. As the founder of Informed Business Decisions, Inc., (1999), Joel Tracy provides consulting services backed by 20 years of work developing and executing business strategies that boost revenue and cut costs. Based in Canton, Massachusetts, Informed Business Decisions provides interim and freelance project management. As the company’s lead consultant, Mr. Tracy designs and implements strategic plans for product launches at major multinational companies, including Genentech, Roche, Bayer, and Eisai.Before beginning his career in consulting, Joel Tracy earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He followed with a Master of Science in Business, majoring in marketing and market research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and studying under a world-renowned advisor. Mr. Tracy also holds expert-level certification from the Marketing Research Association and is a member of the American Marketing Association, the Medical Development Group, and the Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group.Outside of his career, Joel Tracy has performed a significant amount of community service and donates to the American Bald Eagle Foundation. He has volunteered with Therapy Dogs Inc. as a certified dog handler, donated to several disaster relief campaigns, and aided the Community Servings organization as it prepares and delivers meals to immobile patients with life-threatening illnesses. Joel Tracy is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is also an amateur photographer, his favorite subject being the bald eagle.
