Senior Technical Recruiter for a privately owned IT consulting company which was later purchased by LogicaCMG. Recruiting for clients in industries such as insurance, finance, banking, government, oil and energy, marketing, communications, advertising, management consulting, automotive, and higher education.
- Conducted face-to-face and telephone interviews, worked with candidates through the entire hiring life cycle including sourcing, interviewing, technical assessments, marketing, offer negotiation, and on-boarding.
- Performed pre-employment screening including technical tests, background checks, reference checks and drug tests.
- Identified candidates through various sources such as an internal database, internet research, job boards and postings, networking, cold calling, referrals and third party agencies.
- Maintained a queue of active, passive, and potential candidates. Developed strong relationships with candidates to assist in both short term and long term job searches.
- Utilized RESUMate as a candidate/employee tracking system to maintain candidates, perform skill searches, and maintain documentation.
- Interfaced with Sales and Marketing team, and clients to match potential candidates to existing openings.
- Wrote position descriptions, placed employment advertisements on internet sites and job boards, newspapers, on public and private databases, attended job fairs. Reformatted and wrote candidate resumes in company format.
- Assisted Sales and Marketing staff in submitting resumes to clients via vendor management systems and email.
- Maintained the company MS Excel People Report of active candidates used in our weekly staff meetings. Kept and maintained meeting minutes.
- Designed and developed company literature used for Recruitment marketing.
- Assisted in the development of company HR policies and procedures, remained up to date on HR laws and regulations to ensure that the company has appropriate and legal hiring and employment practices. (EEOC procedures, documentation, employee files, records retention, affirmative action, interviewing process/liabilities, ADA, legal obligations...)
- Directly interfaced with immigration attorneys regarding processing candidate H1B and/or Green Cards. Managed Visa agreements between candidates and the company.
- Coordinated benefit programs for new hires, participated in new-employee orientations, coordinated with corporate office in completing employment paperwork. Assisted in the development, implementation and presentation of new employee orientation programs.
- Consistently recruited and hired the highest volume of candidates.
