SIG Retail sought to build an online Web and desktop trading application, initially targeted at active retail traders in equities, options, futures, and foreign exchange (FX).

• Managed technical direction and coordinated product development with CEO, COO, and CMO
• Acted as vendor and product manager with Nexa Technologies to develop platform, working with a remote team of 10+ programmers and business analysts, managing various aspects of SDLC

Principal Consultant for management consulting firm focused on the financial services vertical. Designed technical and workflow-oriented solutions for clients. Concurrently, served as product manager for the Capco solution center.

Product Manager (September 2000–December 2004)

• Managed the development of a browser-based portfolio management / PMO application with a team comprised of members primarily in NYC and also in Belgium.  Managed the deployment of the application at the JPMC, Sovereign Bank, and CIBC.
• Off-shored (outsourced) ongoing support and development of PMO application
• Product, project management, and pre-sales responsibilities for Capco RDM, a Web-enabled analysis and cleansing tool geared towards security and client reference data
  

Principal Consultant in the Technology Competency  (September 2000–December 2004)

• Led data mining team in building a commodity spending warehouse with 10 million rows for detailed OLAP analysis of spending patterns as part of a Six Sigma control project for one of the largest financial institutions in the world.
• For a Major Investment Manager (NACM) participating in GSTPA Pilot: analyzed and designed a middleware architecture, conducted a vendor selection, and a workflow analysis to produce Use Cases for T+1 and enable operational reengineering.
• For a Financial Services Provider: lead for an analysis of a major data hub service’s three-tiered architecture and produced recommendations subsequently adopted by the client.

Project Manager (November 1998 – December 1999)

Consultant in Financial Services organization of major Enterprise Application Integrator. Managed projects involving NEON’s MQI/MQSI messaging and process flow middleware products from front-to-back office. Projects ranged from point-to-point legacy integration to enterprise hub-and-spokes messaging systems, including a $100 million Information Highway project at the Industrial Bank of Japan.

Pre-Sales Architect (December 1998 – September 2000)

Supported sales-force throughout solution selling cycle: from RFI/RFP response writing through sales calls.

Applications manager on 10 systems, processing up to $80 billion and 4,500 transactions per day. Supervised 12 programmers responsible for support and development of 10 critical applications.

Business analyst and technical consultant on Atlas Banking Software, a comprehensive commercial banking back-office package, running on Tandem Computers.  Work included designing and programming interfaces/reports with TACL, Enform, Access, and Excel (VBA).

Project Management and Systems Analyst for rollout of a Generic and International (Asia Pac, EMEA, Latin America, and India) Platform based on SharePoint 2007. This strategic platform supports the global Benefits Online group for the Bank of America and Merrill Lynch financial advisor network.
