Education

Summary

OBJECTIVE Seeking an event planning position in a conference center or hotel where my leadership abilities, organizational skills, and self-motivation will serve not only customers but the company as well. My current and past work experience has prepared me thoroughly for this opportunity. Currently, I am working for a catering company that is training me in tablescapes and event set-up. As a front desk manager at Big Sky Resort, I worked with all departments of the hotel and provided information and activities for guests to participate in. I also developed schedules of activities for guests to engage in and enjoy. I was able to handle guest and employee issues while still maintaining an efficient work ethic. I worked in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word every day and also worked with Kronos. In August 2011, I will graduate from Davenport University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and an Associates Degree. I learned different management, presentation, and marketing techniques in my different courses at Davenport. I also became more efficient and skilled in the updated version of Microsoft because of my different courses. While attending Lansing Community College, I took wedding planning courses, including floral arrangement and obtaining a wedding planning certificate.
