Project: Implementation of the Queensland Certificate of Education.

Job Description: Analyse and document Business Processes using BPMN and re-engineer where possible. Ensure all business processes are agreed upon with external stakeholders (Schools and other Training Providers, Department of Education and the Arts). Design the IT systems which will support these new business processes. Create business requirement documents using UML. Design as a user-centric web application using Visio wireframes and screen mock-ups.

Project (January 2006 - June 2006): User Requirements and Functional Specification for a new end-user system for a biotechnology company.

Job Description: Organize and facilitate project team workshops. Create a user profile questionnaire to group the users in User Groups required for our User-Centric approach. Specify User Requirements based on the Business Product Design Requirements and user feedback.

Project (September 2005 - December 2005): Web application for the Belgian Privacy Commission to enable lodging of online declaration form and to put in place a public register.

Job Description: I was responsible for the business process analysis, the requirements gathering, analysis, design and system modelling.  The requirements were documented using UML and the interface was designed and tested with the users of the system using Visio wireframes and screen mock-ups.

Activities:

* Assess and analyse business cases, create proposals and prepare and present advise to clients;

Company: The Queensland Department of Employment and Training (now Education and Training) is one of the Queensland Government's largest departments. The Department of Employment and Training provides Queensland with services in employment, training, technical and further education and youth affairs. The department employs over 8200 people in over 95 locations state-wide.

Project: Vocational Education and Training System Integration Project. The department currently uses 16 applications, with each using its own database (5 different database vendors) with common data being replicated between the databases. The goal of this project is to integrate both the business and system processes.

Job Description: I was responsible for the business process modelling/reengineering, the requirements gathering, analysis, design and system modelling.

Activities:

* Working with senior management and business users to map out the current business processes and re-engineer or streamline these processes where required.
* Gather and document requirements for new or redeveloped ICT systems to support the business processes.
* Manage projects and the collaboration between the business users and the ICT solution provider.
* Create and present Business Cases to get project funding.
* Advise the business of possible ICT solutions and ensure the ICT solution provider presents a realistic quote.
