Working for Barnes & Noble Booksellers has allowed me to become a director for my café team. I remain a prime example and model of what the other café employees are striving to become. When the company closed our North Richland Hills location I had to alternate from Café Lead to full-time Café Manager for 4 months during the closing process. This new position challenged my abilities as a guide, assets my time management skills, and put to the test on continuing to run a closing business while maintaining to hold onto our regulars so they could transfer with us to our new location. I assembled a regular clientele that followed our cafe team to the new Hurst location while allowing me to establish a whole new clientele. Having to build sales and labor to work as teams made me realize how essential these qualities are in a profitable business.
