Launched this local internet résumé writing company to expand existing résumé base to reach clients on a national and international level. Consult with clients on desired job positions, brand, career history, résumé expectations, job search, and any other questions that arise. Perform all business development, marketing/advertising, and communication.

• Hired a staff of 30+ certified executive resume writers, career coaches, and profile developers to meet the demands of a 500% business increase.

• Quadrupled sales within 6 months after identifying key resource drains, adding new services, and assembling a world-class business and marketing team.
• Developed a strong repeat/referral business with a high rate of job search success. Collaborate with clients on branding, job search, interviewing techniques and industry trends. Suggest career assessments when needed.
• Formulate executive strategy, create format and style, and devise content. Maintain a blog and contribute to several online e-zines.

Joined this internet résumé writing firm in 2003, taking on 8-10 clients a week. Quickly became a Senior Writer and later served as the on-call resident "writing expert" critiquing other writers work and providing suggestions for various client scenarios. Recognized as the "go to" writer to take on "challenging" or "rewrite" clients.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:

• Became the first writer to receive only executive-level clients.

• Evaluate and critique potential writers and existing on-call subcontractor's projects.

Began resume writing career at this federally funded job search and assistance center. Case managed and facilitated the “Work First!” (formerly Welfare-to-Work) program in Northeast Oakland county. Provided clients with employability training including role-play, interviewing techniques, résumé writing, networking, application forms, job search, empowerment guidance, and career assessment. Knowledgeable of state and federal employment regulations and funding.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:

• Piloted the wildly successful “Dress to Impress” clothing closet for low-income men and women. Networked with local businesses and community leaders to donate appropriate business attire.
  

• Coordinated the “Summer Youth” program that put low-income and adjudicated youth in employment for the summer while learning new job skills.
