Designed and developed mySPED.com, a web application allowing special education providers to easily enter their service time online. Administrators can monitor and analyze service delivery at their site with real-time reporting. Responsible for system administration, deployment, training, and ongoing user support. Launched district-wide for the 2009-2010 school year at 10 school sites with over 140 active users.
Ravenswood is the only fully inclusive school district in California. Caseload of 12 students (3rd, 6th, 7th grade) across two different schools in the district. Students range from mild to severe. Began technology initiatives in Special Education Department such as an online form database.
Primary developer of the initial Google Grants tool. Performed initial technical design and implementation of internal application to help manage non-profit applications for the Google Grants program. In six weeks, learned Google application technology (Googlee Java Framework, Megastore Repository, etc.) as well as packaging and deployment for internal use. Shortly after leaving, the tool went into a beta-phase for grant processing.
Student Teacher, Inclusion Support, Moderate/Severe Disabilities: Collaboration with Vision, Mobility,
APE, OT, and parents, in designing student instructional and behavioral programs. On-site five full days a
week including two week takeover. Employed for two weeks as an instructional assistant.
Prepared Sunday children’s church service for 25 children. Planned and prepared educational programs, community service activities, and special events (e.g. Vacation Bible School). Managed a volunteer staff of 5.
Lead developer for the Diagnostic Framework, which identifies and resolves customer support issues. Designed, developed, and debugged all layers of application from DB schema to UI. Coordinated efforts of multiple developers on-site and abroad, trained new hires, and presented in corporate trainings. Product received wide adoption throughout the E-Business Suite. Led discussion and lab section of 20 students for the course: Introduction to Symbolic Programming. Also responsible for grading projects and exams.
This credential authorizes the holder to teach all subjects in a self-contained class and, as a self-contained classroom teacher, to team teach or to regroup students across classrooms, in grades twelve and below, including preschool, and in classes organized primarily for adults. In addition, this credential authorizes the holder to teach core classes consisting of two or more subjects to the same group of students in grades five through eight, and to teach any of the core subjects he or she is teaching to a single group of students in the same grade level as the core for less than fifty percent of his or her work day.
This document authorizes the holder to provide instruction and related services to individuals with a primary disability of autism, moderate/severe mental retardation, deaf-blindness, serious emotional disturbance, and multiple disabilities, in kindergarten, grades 1 through 12, and in classes organized primarily for adults, across the continuum of program options available pursuant to Education Code Sections 56031, 56360, and 56361. The continuum includes: regular classrooms; resource rooms; special day classrooms; special schools; home/hospital settings; correctional facilities; non-public, non-sectarian schools and agencies; and alternative instructional settings other than classrooms.1
