Natural Science Illustration program developed cooperatively between departments of biology and art. Coursework: Intro to Natural Science Illustration, Zoological Illustration, Vertebrate Illustration, Wildlife Illustration, Applied Techniques of Natural Science Illustration, Botanical Illustration.
Coursework: color theory, life drawing, perspective drawing, analysis of form (drawing from casts and still life), clothed figure drawing, intro to anatomy, history of American illustration (1865 - 2000), digital tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign CS2), materials, tools and comping techniques, calligraphy.

Greek and Latin languages, literature and history. Thesis explored Cicero's manipulation of social convention in his use of invective.
