I teach small groups of adolescents and adults. I focus on all areas of English to provide a complete learning experience so that the students can improve and excel in all areas. I prepare students for both the First Certificate Exam and the Certificate in Advanced English exam.
I taught business English classes to the employees of Ideon FS. I taught specific classes for the technical support staff, administrative staff and computer programming staff. I also prepared various employees for the FCE exam and the PET Exam.
I taught one to one classes to adults and adolescents across the city. I taught all levels and prepared various students for official exams.
I completed my TEFL course training with Canterbury English in June 2009. I taught in an English summer camp in Léon, Spain. I taught ages 5 to 12 years old. All activities were in English along with 2 hours each day of formal classes.
I taught in an English summer camp in Sant Celoni, Spain. Games and Excursions were done in Spanish/Catalan and educational activities were done in English. Each day there was 1 hour of formal class.
Canterbury English works with Grupo Mundo en Red both in Léon and Alcalá de Henares. Parents can access daily photos of their child's time at the camps. I accompanied the teachers, students and monitors throughout the day documenting their activities, classes and excursions.
JGilbert Footwear is a high-end shoe boutique that specializes in comfortable fashionable footwear and handmade quality cowboy boots. I worked closely with customers, building personal relationships. My main tasks were merchandising the showroom, creating window displays and above all exceptional customer service. I worked various trunk shows, special events and private shows.
I kept close relations with all my clients by informing them when new merchandise arrived, sending mailings and emails with products that may interest them and tending to their personal style needs and requests.
Basic clerical tasks: filing, organization, and updating databases.
Organized and prepared vendor proposals, revised leases and was in charge of maintenance calls.
I majored in Art History and minored in Spanish. I focused on Medieval and Renaissance Art History, specifically Spain.
I studied Spanish throughout high school and minored in Spanish in college. I have been living in Spain for 3 years and speak on a daily basis.
I have advanced conversation skills, listening comprehension, and writing skills.
I am proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
I used my research skills intensively throughout high school and college. With the abundance of information and accessibility to world libraries my internet research skills are superb. I currently use these skills to prepare interesting and engaging lessons for my students.
I have exception customer service skills. I enjoy working with people and building relationships with customers/clients and peers.
I have ample experience in both formal instruction and private tutoring. My strong qualities lie in language instruction and art history instruction. I have experience teaching various ages and levels.
I have completed the 120 hour course and received my TEFL certification in Madrid, Spain.
