Over my career, I have worn many hats: Project manager, career services guru, trusty assistant, writer, etc. My wide array of experience has allowed me to work in numerous industries and environment that allowed me to to have a good working knowledge on a number of subjects.
Also, I have tried to expand my own foundation of learning, as I call it, to include numerous desktop and Web-based applications. I've recently put that good knowledge to use, speaking at the Software Freedom Day Cleveland event in October 2008 on OpenOffice.org and its features.
One of my greatest accomplishments was the establishment of a career services program at the Cleveland campus of a national post-secondary technical school that entailed the development of career workshops, establishment of an externship program and devising a process to guide students into job placement. During my two years, I also headed up the collaborative efforts of all Directors of Career Services in sharing best practices by presiding over the monthly conference call and moderating the Career Services e-mail list.
