Summary

Recently involved with Venezuela’s Ministry of Energy and Oil, Baldo Sanso functioned as a Consultant and Advisor who held responsibility for executing various initiatives. In this position, Sanso assisted the Minister of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., organized bidding processes for gas and oil reservoirs, and developed mergers and acquisitions between his company and multi-national entities. One of his most notable accomplishments involved the Carabobo Project, where Chevron Corp. acquired some of the oil rights in Venezuela's Orinoco Belt. Excelling as a consultant, Baldo Sanso spent six years with Bain & Company. As a Strategy Consultant for the company’s Rome and Milan offices, Sanso ran a decentralization project for the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance with a budget of more than $40 million, created an online portal for the Insurance Sociedad Aseguradora RAS, and enhanced the efficiency of Red de Automercados Nordiconad and other firms. Prior to joining Bain & Company, Baldo Sanso performed as a Financial Analyst for KPMG Corporate Finance LLC in Caracas and as In-House Legal Counsel for the Andean Development Corporation, also based in Caracas. Previously, Sanso acted as Corporate Legal Staff for the global law firm White & Case LLP in New York City, where he designed American Depositary Receipt deposits and issued bonds and shares worth more than $100 million. Academically, Baldo Sanso acquired a law degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Soon after, he moved to the United States to obtain an LLM in Finance and Regulation of the Capital Markets from Columbia Law School. Sanso enrolled in the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello for his Master's degree in Taxation and Financial Law before returning to America and garnering a third Master's degree in International and Public Affairs from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
