I am a Partner in the Global Life Sciences Practice at executive search firm, Heidrick & Struggles. I focus on senior-level international searches in all functional areas across the healthcare sector. My work principally involves biotechnology, pharmaeutical, non profit drug development organizations, diagnostic and healthcare  services companies.

 Successful full execution of searches in European Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Not-for Profit, and Business Service Sectors. Roles recruited for include, CEO, COO, CSO, CTO, CFO, Director of Drug Discovery, VP Chemistry, VP Biology, Director of Business Development, Commercial Director, S&M Director, Director of Clinical Development, Director of Medical Affairs, Director of Research. Also Non-Executive Director and Chairman roles in private companies.

Responsible for setting up and growing a new Gas Distribution business 

Identified and established new business processes

Recruitment of a new specialist team and competency assessment methodology

Negotiating with Ofgem and HSE to obtain licence and approvals for operation

Business Development Manager at the same company from March 97 - June 98

Responsible to the Managing Director

Prepared documents to counter hostile bid from Rhone-Poulenc Rorer(RPR) resulting in a 10%

increase in company valuation

Analysed and prepared business plans for integration of the RPR/Fisons operations in

Nordic/Benelux regions which was approved by the RPR Board

Prior to moving into this role I was Divisional Projects Manager                                                                       

Responsible for review of all major capital projects on behalf of the MD and FD

This followed two years as International Area Manager, Animal Health

I began my career with Fisons as a Veterinary Services Manager in 1988

Established and managed a branch surgery. Routine consultancy and surgery on Companion Animals
