About Andrew Horun Wrestling

A 2015-2016 inductee to the National Honor Society, Andrew Horun maintains a strong academic performance while holding a position on the wrestling team at Phillipsburg High School in New Jersey. To sustain peak stamina, quickness, and power for competitive wrestling, he trains year-round at MADE Strength & Conditioning. He works out several times a week under the tutelage of MADE trainer Craig Merrick, who has helped him make considerable gains in his physical abilities. Undeterred by his rigorous sports training schedule, Andrew Horun remains attentive to his scholastic responsibilities and ranks 30th in a class of 440 students.

During the 2015 summer break, Andrew Horun worked as a cook and cashier at the Lopatcong Township Pool. He also appreciates any chance to take care of dogs and freely gives his time to dog-sit for neighbors while they are at work or away on vacation. Active in Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, he acts as an altar server and has helped run church fundraisers that support the Phillipsburg Ole Town Festival. He has also volunteered with the Greek Catholic Union to assist with community stewardship efforts.

Among his personal pursuits, Andrew Horun takes guitar classes and has learned to play the chords to such songs as Dust on the Bottle by David Lee Murphy. He avidly follows the Mets, Devils, Red Bulls, and other New Jersey and New York area professional sports teams.
