Specifically geared to prepare students for today's workplace. The program provides students with the specific skills in financial and human resource management, research, and data analysis that are essential to success in a public service career. In addition, students learn about the political, social, and economic environment in which public and non-profit organizations operate and public policy is made and implemented.
Prepares students for careers in law-related fields, federal and state governments, public and private interest groups, or business and management.
Built and managed student field experience Access database for NCATE (accreditation agency) and PSC (Professional Standards Commission) records compliance
Responsible for academic advisement of more than 250 students currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching program
Assists with recruiting efforts through initial admissions advisement, developing print material and web content that specifically promotes the Master of Arts in Teaching program, as well as the College of Education as a whole
Partner with teaching faculty to periodically review degree program with an emphasis on improving student outcomes
Represent the university at national, regional, and local college fairs, and high school private visits Assists in maintaining knowledge base on academic programs offered on the undergraduate level for the office of admissions
Advise guidance counselors, general public, prospective students and families through the admissions process, while providing options for academic, research, and career support opportunities available for the overall success of the student
Implement, and manage recruitment territories for defined geographic and demographic areas to ensure a diverse and academically talented undergraduate student body of 19,000
Review academic credentials of freshman, transfer, transient and readmit applicants for admission into the university
Provided I.T. support to faculty and students with computer, pipeline, ADP, GeorgiaVIEW and Banner issues
Trained new student assistants on client support duties, procedures, and techniques
