Alexandra Wasik brings a unique combination to womens track & field.  She has a very strong upper and lower body combination and very strong core strength that she was developed in her success as an all-state gymnast.  Add in a competitive drive and her potential jumps off the charts.  Her high school pole vault coach not only thinks she will break the school record of 12 – 6 but thinks she will shatter it, moreover so does she.

Area or Improvement

Alexandra has the potential to be the best all around womens athlete in Ohio if she continues to incrementally improve week after week.

My dream is to attend a Division I school with a strong Track & Field program.  I have visited many colleges and know that the academic offering must also fit with my long-term academic and career goals in “International Business” to compliment my Chinese speaking skills.

Scholastic excellence has always been a priority.  I would like to graduate with honors and a 4.0 GPA.  I have been on the honor roll every semester since the start of my freshman year of high school. I am taking post-secondary classes my junior year and will continue my senior year.  After graduating from college I do want to return to pursue a master degree or higher. 

I have explored many career options and find International Business to be my number one choice.  I also have an interest in Chemical Engineering and Mandarin Chinese as possible minors.  I hope to eventually work in China, teach, translate or develop a business.  Having the opportunity to fulfill my dream career is my most important goal.  Getting there motivates me more than anything to do my best at achieving each milestone on the path to my ultimate dream.

My name is Bob Jenkins, Head Track Coach at Medina High School in Medina, Ohio.  Please accept this letter of introduction and support for one of our stellar athletes, Alexandra Wasik, a junior.  Alex is a two sport varsity athlete.  Besides being a varsity letter winner in both gymnastics and track and field since her freshman year, she has excelled in both sports at the state level.  She currently has a 3.76 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and is in the top 10 percent of her class.  All of her classes are honors classes.  Alex's older brother is an alumni of Stanford University as a former student-athlete.  Please feel free to contact me for any information I may be able to provide.  I truly believe Alex would be a tremendous asset to a Division I program.
