My name is Alexander Meijers and I’m a lead consultant and SharePoint architect. With more than 16 years of experience in the ICT and working with SharePoint since the first release of SharePoint 2003 and WSS 2.0. Today I’m working on different implementations based on SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Foundation (WSS 4.0).
I’m widely experienced in Microsoft Technology and have knowlegde and experience in hard-core development, liason between business and IT, business advise at large projects, setting up architecture and IT Pro related tasks.
The last few years I have been working on SharePoint solutions at customers like SVn, TenneT, Rabo Vastgoed, Inter-IKEA, Lost Boys International, Sanoma Uitgevers, BAM, TNT, Facilicom, NS and Logica internal. These environments differ from very small solutions till large scale solutions with more than 100k users.
My previous jobs have been SharePoint Architect at Sparked, senior consultant at Tam Tam and Microsoft Product Expert For SharePoint and Solution Architect at Logica. I have been part of a theme group called “New world of work” in which customers were guided to optimalise and improve their processes and work environment. I have been doing a lot of coaching of colleagues to develop them into medior and senior developers for SharePoint.
I’m deeply involved in the SharePoint community and find it important to share and collaborate with people about SharePoint and Information Worker. Being part of the SharePoint Blackbelts group helps me and others to extend our knowlegde beyond. I have been speaker in the Netherlands and Egypt, blog about SharePoint and writing articles for different online and offline magazines. Since September 2010 I became Track Lead for Information Worker at SDN, one of the largest communities in the Netherlands.
